Once you have decided to get a massage from a professional massage therapist, you may find you are a little nervous about receiving treatment. Here are a few tips on what to expect so you can get the best treatment and ease any anxiety you may have.

First and foremost SEX!!!!!!! is not one of the things you should expect during your massage. A certified or licensed massage therapist who is serious about their profession will never offer or play around with words that suggest anything other than promoting the legitimacy of their business. There is no need or place for sex while getting a professional massage.

Typically you will be asked to fill out a case history/intake form. This will allow your therapist to get to know your health history including past/present medical conditions. The case history/intake form

will also ask you to list specific areas you are concerned with and would liked addressed during your treatment. This is done so when the therapist review what you have written he/she can give you the best possible treatment during your massage.

After the therapist has reviewed your case history/intake form, the therapist should explain to you the procedures that will take place during your massage. You should be told about the massage, how to get on and off the table and how to undress. Undressing for most people is where the problem comes in. But in order to get the most from your massage, you will need to undress at least down to your underwear. Females will need to remove their bra, this will allow the therapist to provide the best possible therapy. A professional therapist will always drape you accordingly, only the part of the body being massage will be revealed. After explaining how to get undress and onto the table the therapist will leave the room for you to undress to your comfort level.

Remember you are always in control of your massage session. You should never be uncomfortable and in any pain outside of your pain tolerance, if you do please communicate this with your therapist your feed back is very important. Also remember it is very important to breathe during your massage session, breathing helps you relax and will allow your massage session to be that much more enjoyable.

Massage have many benefits and can be a wonderful experience, so hopefully these tips have ease any anxiety you may have and will allow you to go out and find a professional massage therapist today. Relax and enjoy the experience!
